Pertinence is the stage name of Collin Stedman, an Arizona-born, Los Angeles-based independent rapper whose alternative hip-hop pairs sharp wordplay with melodic, experimental production. He began writing and recording in high school and built momentum through a prolific release schedule, with standout tracks including “UPS / DOWNS,” “DROP TOP BEATER,” and “World Keep Turning.” His catalog includes the 2026 album THE UNTIMELY TIMING OF DIVINE TIMING and “BIG FISH,” a 2025 collaboration with Connor Price. After opening for Yung Gravy on a nationwide tour in 2025, Pertinence launched a multi-city headlining run that includes B Side at House of Blues Las Vegas.
